Memorial Villages

Extravagant enclaves with individualized flair.

Welcome to Memorial Villages

Located east of Houston’s Inner Loop lies six small enclaves, each with its own vibrant personality. Known as Memorial Villages, these six neighborhoods include Spring Valley Village, Piney Point Village, Bunker Hill Village, Hedwig Village, Hilshire Village, and Hunters Creek Village. After the construction of Interstate 10 in 1968, these communities boomed around the highway and are a short drive to Downtown Houston, which is excellent for both work and play.

These upscale communities boast wooded lots that create plentiful privacy, which is perfect for the grandeur of Memorial Village’s estates. The lots here often trend larger than those in River Oaks, cultivating a stately appeal and enhanced sense of security. Here, you’ll find Spanish Revival-inspired mansions tucked into quiet crannies, abundant green space, and a close-knit community.

People and Lifestyle

These villages balance the line between urban and suburban, providing residents with the peaceful solitude of suburbia while maintaining an affluent air and proximity to nearby amenities. These extravagant homesteads offer the space for country-style living without sacrificing the city conveniences its residents cherish. Families, in particular, are drawn to the Memorial Villages for its lush parks, ample shopping, and variety of dining options to keep everyone in the family happy.

Dining, Entertainment and Shopping

Despite being such a quiet alcove, Memorial Villages have their own cache of eateries and trendy shops as well as being situated conveniently near larger entertainment hubs. The three central congregations of mixed-use amenities are CityCentre, Town & Country Village, and the nearby Memorial City Mall. Premier shopping destination CityCentre is a mercantile megaplex with all of the shopping, dining, and pampering you can dream of. Here, you can get a pedicure at Anthony Vince Nail Spa, sip a cold-pressed juice from Juicewell, and shop Free People apparel all in the same afternoon. Luxurious Town & Country Village is home to over ninety retailers, including recognizable international brands and local boutiques. Village Plaza at Bunker Hill and Memorial City Mall are both excellent options for a weekend shopping spree with a myriad of merchandisers. For a little TLC, The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa is a gorgeous Memorial Villages estate with lavish amenities. Plus, this gorgeous venue is a popular destination for corporate events and weddings.

Things to Do

These cozy communities are never short for ways to fill the days no matter what time of year it is. During the summer, the Villages Independence Festival celebrates the nation’s freedom and brings the six villages together for an all-day extravaganza from a parade to a fun run and, at night, the namesake festival with rides and games, community booths, and live music. Memorial Villages Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning regardless of weather conditions, and it’s a perfect place to browse locally grown produce and hand-made artisanal goods while congregating with the community. During the holiday season, Bunker Hill Village hosts the Twinkle Light Parade, a festival that celebrates seasonal decorations with personally-built floats, goodwill, and merriment while giving back to the community and gathering donations for local food banks, and a visit from Santa Claus.

The family-focused Memorial Villages are fortunate to be home to numerous top-tier educational facilities. A few of the most notable academic opportunities for students in the area include:
